Responsibilities
Own the month end close process, including preparing accounting journals and completing balance sheet reconciliations
Provide accurate and timely financial reporting
Produce monthly management accounts with clear variance analysis
Oversee daily accounting operations, maintaining strong controls and compliance with accounting standards
Work closely with the VP of Finance and the senior leadership team to design and enhance processes that support company growth
Analyse business performance and product profitability, including unit economics and variance analysis
Support ad hoc projects and analysis, including modelling and system or process improvements
Collaborate proactively across cross functional teams to resolve issues quickly and maintain data accuracy
Qualification
Required
Experience working in a fast paced, evolving SaaS company or tech start-up
Be a qualified accountant with a solid grounding in accounting fundamentals
Have a strong understanding of accounting theory
Be highly proficient in Excel - financial modelling, analysis and reporting
Exposure to month-end close, management accounts, and financial reporting in a scaling organisation
Experience collaborating cross-functionally with commercial, product, or engineering teams
Involvement in process improvement or systems implementation
Strong analytical thinking with the ability to interpret financial data clearly and accurately
Excellent communication skills for working cross-functionally and explaining financial concepts to non-finance teams
Have a high level of organisation and attention to detail under time pressure
