The Scientist or Senior Scientist will build automated analysis tooling to maximize scientific advancement and will conduct targeted data analysis projects to improve therapy products.

Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain automated analysis and data visualization tools to support iterative scientific research across multiple teams at Century
Conduct data analysis projects using a combination of internal and public data sets to further development of our beta islet cell therapy product
Qualification
Required
Doctorate degree and 1-3 years of industry experience (Scientist) or 4+ years (Senior Scientist), with a substantial and demonstrable computational and data analysis component
Excellent scientific, logical, and critical thinking abilities. Excellent communication and organizational skills
Training in biology including a robust knowledge of gene regulation and expression, and familiarity with basic cell biology and genetics
Experience with software development, industry practices, and related tooling
Strong programming skills in both Python and R
Independent, self-directed, and focused on completing objectives
Experience with data analysis, data visualization, preparing and processing data, computational pipelines, etc
Some training in Statistics, including probability theory, statistical distributions, linear regression, and multivariate modeling
Preferred
Experience working with scientific data, particularly gene expression data
Familiarity with AI-enhanced coding practices and tooling
Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, etc.)
Familiarity with Linux, shell scripting, command line tools, and text processing
Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, and the aws command line tool)
