Responsibilities

Lead a group of 5 to 15 hourly non-exempt employees and/or level 1 managers
Manage and coordinate machining/tool fabrication activities with other programs to ensure appropriate staffing/de-staffing actions are developed and executed
Own responsibility for program and technical performance while providing objective-oriented directions to hard lined or dotted line reporting personnel, utilizing management guidelines & general policies
Monitor and manage risk items to ensure mitigating actions are effective and timely
Promote Lean, Knowledge Management, and other process improvement initiatives as well as sharing of lessons learned and best practices throughout the organization
Manage the following: personnel performance evaluation, merit planning, employee development, and utilization of EVMS to manage direct costs

Required

Must have a bachelor's degree and 5 years of related professional/military experience in manufacturing/aerospace/design/tooling/tool engineering, manufacturing engineering, integration and/or fabrication industries/experience
Must have 2 years of prior management/leadership experience
Must be available to work any shift

Preferred

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance (US Citizenship required)
Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Program Access
Previous Supervisory and Management experience in managing large projects, with an emphasis on machining, tool fabrication, manufacturing, assembly processes, and flight hardware production
Experience in managing shop schedules with dynamic priority changes
Aerospace or Aviation Industry experience managing machine shops (3,4, & 5 axis), tool fabrication shops, and shop flow scheduling
Candidates should have strong Project Management, Microsoft Office tools, Communication, and Presentation Skills
