Optomi, in partnership with a leading healthcare provider, is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer with hands-on SMART on FHIR app development. This role supports the design and development of sophisticated clinical information solutions that directly impact patient care and provider workflows.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and support SMART on FHIR applications and custom healthcare integration solutions

Build high-quality, branded custom UIs within clinical systems—not just standard templates

Analyze complex business and clinical requirements and translate them into technical solutions

Write, debug, optimize, and document full-stack code across front-end and back-end components

Ensure alignment with architecture standards and solution design guidelines

Develop secure REST APIs and web services for healthcare data exchange

Partner with architecture, vendors, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions

Create and review unit test plans; ensure high-quality software delivery

Required

SMART on FHIR app development (Required)

EPIC App Orchard experience (Required)

5+ years software development experience with React, JavaScript, Node.js, and jQuery

Experience with HTML5, CSS, wireframing, UX best practices

Experience building secure integrations with external systems

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Experience mentoring junior developers and contributing to architectural discussions

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred)

Healthcare, medical insurance, or hospital IT experience preferred
