Responsibilities

Perform a variety of mechanical and maintenance tasks in support of the City's fleet, equipment, and facilities
Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues; completing routine to semi-complex repairs
Performing welding, fabrication, and advanced electronic work, including support for public safety vehicles
Maintaining accurate work orders, following established safety practices, managing parts inventory, and keeping the shop clean and organized
Ongoing training is encouraged to stay current with new technologies

Required

High School Diploma or GED supplemented by college and/or technical training
2 years of specialized training
