Responsibilities
Under direct supervision, provides assistance to Public Health Nurses and county programs
Work in our Fast Track immunization department
This role is responsible for administering vaccines to patients across the life span and providing appropriate documentation afterwards
Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision
Administers prescribed medications, immunizations
Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate client care plans
Maintains accurate, detailed reports and client records
Modifies client treatment plans as indicated by clients responses and conditions
Monitors and records all aspects of client care, including diet and physical activity
Monitors, records and reports symptoms and changes in clients' conditions
Prepares clients for, and assists with, examinations and treatments
Prepares rooms, sterile instruments, equipment and supplies, and ensures that stock of supplies is maintained
Provides education to client and family
Qualification
Required
Vocational/Technical degree in licensed practical nursing from an accredited college
Current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse
CPR certification
Completion of all necessary orientation and training for Public Health LPN
