Training Specialist (EHRM)
USAJOBS is seeking a Training Specialist (EHRM) at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital, a level 1b complexity VHA facility. The role involves providing and coordinating performance-based educational services and supporting the onboarding of allied health trainees.

Responsibilities
The incumbent assists in the onboarding of allied health trainees, and serves as the ADPAC for this process
Functions as a TMS domain manager, and assists in various TMS functions such as account creation, pulling reports, item creation, and other administrative TMS functions
Collaborates with Education Coordinator, Nurse Educators, presenters and other stakeholders on the development, coordination and evaluation of educational activities
Assists the education department in its role within the deployment of the Federal Electronic Health Record (FEHR)
Assists in the instruction and facilitation of Prevention and Management of Disruptive Behavior classes
Instructs effectively and creatively according to adult learning and accelerated learning principles, addressing all domains of education, including the affective level
Represents and incorporates organizational mission, vision, values and strategic plan into all aspects of educational offerings
Tracks, documents and records student attendance/completion

Required
Only education or degrees recognized by the U.S. Department of Education from accredited colleges or institutions may be used to qualify for Federal employment

For a GS-9 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-7
An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials
The GS-1712, Training Specialist requires the below Individual Occupational Requirement (IOR) be met
Experience that demonstrated a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction
GS-7 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-5)
GS-9 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-7)
Must have successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related, in a major study in education or a subject area related to the position
Must have successfully completed an equivalent combination of experience and education as described above

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs
Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications
