Piper Companies is seeking a Load Balancing Engineer to join an established healthcare organization for a contract to hire opportunity. The Load Balancing Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available load balancing solutions to support enterprise applications and services.

Responsibilities

Architect and deploy highly available and scalable load balancing solutions across applications, websites, and services
Administer and support load balancing technologies including F5 BIG-IP, NGINX, and Citrix NetScaler
Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks affecting load balancers and backend infrastructure
Continuously monitor traffic patterns and load distribution to enhance system performance and uptime
Partner with Network Security teams to align configurations with security standards and regulatory compliance

Required

Proven engineering experience with load balancing platforms, protocols, and configurations
Hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP, NGINX, and Citrix NetScaler
Experience migrating load balancing platforms from legacy to modern solutions
Strong troubleshooting skills for network and hardware issues
Working knowledge of switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless hardware
Familiarity with network protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP
Ability to work in accordance with organizational policies and procedures
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical teams
