Document Control Technician II

The Tsui Group is seeking a qualified and experienced candidate to join their aviation team as a Document Control Technician II. The role involves managing document control processes, including the scanning, indexing, and distribution of project documents, while assisting project management teams with record control and training new staff as needed.

Responsibilities

Control, scan, index, link, hardcopy filing and distribution of documents in PMWeb
Manage flow of records to project participants distribution, including correspondence, technical submittals, project reports, Request for Information, and contract plans and specifications
Prepare transmittals, distribute documents using PMWeb, and retrieve documents through PMWeb software
Assist Project Manager, Construction Manager, and the Project Team in all matters relative to project records and the control and distribution of documents in PMWeb
May be designated as a lead Document Control Technician on a project or element
May be assigned to train new staff on document controls procedures
Participation in project meetings, as necessary
May need to drive between office and field locations
May assume other duties as required/needed
May work overtime
Maybe required to work various shifts as needed

Required

Experience managing Document Control efforts for a large-scale, billion dollar construction project
Ensure work is accomplished by deadlines
Be flexible and able to readily adapt to changing priorities
Effective oral and written communication skills
Must be a proactive, self-starter, with a results-oriented focus
Must be able to interface with a variety of people with different technical levels and educational backgrounds
Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
Must be able to produce accurate and timely results while maintaining a positive customer-service attitude
Must be able to occasionally wrap, lift, and move boxes/packages of up to 40-pounds
Two year technical degree
5+ years of experience with document processing and data management; document processing experience at large international airports preferred
Previous experience in a construction environment is highly desirable
Certification for document control professionals highly desirable
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with Adobe Acrobat is required
Experience with large-scale Document Control Software is highly desirable (i.e., PMWeb and/or Documentum)
Demonstrated experience with routine Document Control hardware and software, such as scanners, optical character recognition
