Responsibilities
Lead a team of trades and/or labor workers
Perform nonsupervisory trades and/or labor work that is usually of the same kind and level as members of the work crew led
Train others in the set up and operation of common machine tools and attachments including precision computer numerical control (CNC) machines to perform special and precise machining operations by devising and constructing fixtures and holding devices
Use and instruct on how to use a variety of precision instruments and equipment such as vernier calipers; height gages; optical and electrical comparators, dial indicators, Johyanssen and similar gage blocks, and various types of micrometers, super micrometers, and go and no-go thread, ring, bore, and plug gages to attain dimensions and maintain tolerances
