Assembler Technician

Karman Space & Defense provides concept-to-production solutions for mission-critical systems on spacecraft and defense systems. The Assembler Technician is responsible for following assembly requirements, reviewing engineering blueprints, and contributing to product safety and quality within the QMS.

Responsibilities

Maintain and Realize AS 9100 procedures and continuous improvement efforts

Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Assemble detail parts as required

Install requisite hardware

Deburr parts to meet drawing requirements

Identify product to meet drawing requirements

Assist in packaging of product to assure damage free deliverables

Touch-up paint / coated surfaces as required

Work with Program Managers to assure timely assembly of product

Required

High school graduate or equivalent work experience

Adequate years of assembly experience required determined by Karman

Must be detail oriented, extremely organized and able to follow instructions

Must have excellent blue print interpretation skills

Must be able to use inspection equipment (i.e. calipers, micrometers, etc.)

Must be able to use assembly hand tools

Must be able to lift 25 lbs

Must have direct communication with internal customers

Must be trained of applicable changes & customer requirements

Must know the QMS basic system of reporting, record keeping and follow instructions
