As a Journeyman Mobile Broadband Engineer (LTE, 5G), you will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and optimizing mobile broadband systems to enable next-generation wireless connectivity while ensuring compliance with DoD standards.

Responsibilities

Assists in designs of mobile broadband / cellular-related services across BAN

Understands requirements, follows standards for spectrum use, antennae placement, power requirements, back-haul connectivity

Ensures integrity and smooth operation of legacy and modernized communications networks, troubleshooting network problems and optimizing capacity

Installs and configures broadband systems and networks

Diagnoses and resolves technical issues related to broadband systems

Monitor and analyze system performance

Performs regular maintenance on broadband systems to ensure longevity and optimal working conditions

Coordinates with Network Engineers to optimize network capacity and performance

Tests new broadband technologies before they are rolled out

Documents installation, maintenance, and repair for future reference

Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and standards during design, installation, and maintenance of mobile broadband systems

Ensures compliance with safety procedures and standards

Has excellent problem-solving skills to resolve faults promptly and efficiently

Required

Technical BA / BS Degree; Or High School Diploma or Associate Degree

CCNA, JNCIA or equivalent

CompTIA Security+

5 years with BA / BS Degree; Or Minimum of 7 years of experience with High School Diploma or Associate Degree performing as a Broadband Engineer on large, complex networks

This position requires an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret (Tier 3) level clearance

Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Teams, and SharePoint

Proficient in broadband system technologies

Strong understanding of network protocol and infrastructure

Excellent problem-solving skills to resolve faults promptly and efficiently
