Responsibilities
Responsible for the financial management and administration of multiple grants and contracts under Montefiore's mental and behavioral health management subsidiary, University Behavioral Associates
Maintaining/reconciling the program's General Ledger, ensuring expenses adhere to budget an accuracy and timeliness of financial data, compiling and submitting monthly claims, reviewing and processing purchase requisitions and invoicing, collecting and tracking receipt of funding and receivables, assisting in the preparation of financial reports and billings to sponsors, and participating in account close-out as well as auditing inquiries and procedures
Monitoring the allowable and appropriate recording of expenses to sponsored projects and the general ledger in order to ensure compliance with generally acceptable accounting principles (GAAP) and sponsor reporting requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelors Degree in Finance/Accounting required
7 years of experience in Finance/Grants/Accounting required
Knowledge GAAP and Grant Accounting
Strong written and verbal communication skills with Senior Management and External Auditors/Government Agencies
Strong Excel Skills, Strata, HCM and INFOR
Time management and ability to multi-task
Preferred
Masters Degree in Finance/Accounting preferred
