Responsibilities

The intern will learn basic investigatory tactics and follow Worker Protection cases through from initial interview with a claimant to data entry, investigation, and resolution
The intern will assist in flagging potential issues in payrolls submitted by contractors and identifying instances where follow-up is needed
The intern will be trained in confidentiality requirements and will help organize files for efficiency and ease of use
The intern will learn basic safety protocols and take part in routine field visits to construction sites
The intern will review submissions by contracting agencies for project numbers and assist in handling other routine tasks of Central Office

Required

Be 18 years of age or older
Be actively enrolled in a New York State college, university, or graduate program, or be a resident of New York State, attending a college, university or graduate program outside of New York State
Have completed a minimum of one (1) year as a student at a degree-granting two or four-year college or university (completion of one year's worth of academic credits over a longer period may qualify part-time students for participation in the program), or be a currently enrolled graduate student or accepted in a graduate degree program
Have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0, or the letter grade equivalent

Ability to use Sharepoint a plus
General knowledge and ability surrounding technology applications is helpful
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are preferred
