Responsibilities

Utilize programming and automation skills to help implement a fully observable network
Incorporate metrics, logs, and traces to provide deeper insights into the environment and improve overall system reliability
Utilize scripts, API’s and AI to optimize the environment

Required

Currently working towards a B.S., B.A, M.S., Ph.D., or advanced degree in a relevant academic program
Good academic standing
Able to commit to a 12-week internship beginning in May or June of 2026
At least one previous industry internship, co-op, or project completed in a relevant area
Ability to relocate to the Bay Area, California for the duration of the internship
Understanding of network protocols like TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, and DHCP, as well as concepts like routing, switching, and VLANs
Basic knowledge of server administration, especially in Windows and Linux environments
Experience with scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation is highly valued
Knowledge of how to work with APIs to integrate different systems

Preferred

Hands-on experience with network monitoring and observability tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, Wireshark, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or Splunk
