Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems that improve Via’s platform
Own backend features end-to-end, from architecture and implementation to deployment and maintenance
Define infrastructure and standards for engineering teams across the company
Research and recommend new technologies for our engineering teams
Develop a deep understanding of the software and architecture at Via
Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve backend issues to ensure system uptime and performance
Work closely with partner teams across the company to enable success
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience building robust backend or full-stack software systems
Expertise in developing and maintaining APIs, distributed systems, and efficient database architectures
Familiar with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform)
Skilled in system design, debugging, and performance optimization
