Responsibilities

Provide leadership for assigned engineers and technicians
Lead paint process engineers in operational control, continuous improvement, and trouble shooting
Develop your assigned team members, and manage departmental projects
Lead Paint manufacturing line design and launch- System design, engineering acceptance, installation, and commissioning
Oversee system operational controls- defect reduction, system chemistry, equipment uptime
Research and formulate plans to accomplish major projects, including manpower estimates, cost estimates and work measuring devices such as milestones or critical path charts
Incorporate ergonomics into safety, productivity, and performance
Monitor progress of major projects and make recommendations when needed including acquisition of capital equipment
Develop proposals for production processes
Support cost estimate activities for both new product lines and contract extensions
Research and make recommendations on make or buy products
Research and make recommendations for the acquisition of tooling, equipment, and fixtures
Understand current safety and OSHA requirements pertaining to assembly operations
Identify process improvements in the areas of safety, quality, and productivity
Write assembly work processes and man assignment procedures
Establish manpower requirements, line and sub-assembly balancing data, and expectancy time performances
Assist in plant layout and work station design
Plan, schedule, and prioritize work to meet established deadlines
Provide technical support and assist as a resource person in assigned area
Other duties, as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
Three or more years related experience in automotive or industrial Paint, Electrocoating, and Robotic application operations

Preferred

Proven project management experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programs
Good overall people management skills
Previous supervisory and/or manufacturing experience a plus
Experience with automotive or heavy-duty equipment manufacturing
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
