Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable, high-performance workflow infrastructure using technologies such as Temporal and Netflix Conductor
Benchmark platform performance, collect and analyze system metrics, and publish performance reports
Ensure platform reliability and uptime, targeting high availability through robust monitoring and alerting systems
Estimate system capacity and provision clusters to support diverse customer workloads
Monitor production systems, respond to incidents, and proactively address root causes to improve operational excellence
Analyze and contribute to open-source platform components and codebases
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure platform extensibility and support innovation
Utilize SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, MySQL) for data storage and retrieval
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or a closely related field
8 years of experience in backend software development
Proficiency in Java and the Spring Framework
Experience working in cloud environments, particularly AWS
Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining highly available, distributed systems
Preferred
Strong communication skills for interfacing with technical teams, business stakeholders, and end users
Familiarity with Agile development practices, including code reviews, testing, and CI/CD pipelines
Proven ability to lead and collaborate in cross-functional, fast-paced environments
Experience managing mission-critical services with high throughput and low latency
