Compliance Specialist (Lease Up Only)
Related Management Company is a premier owner/operator of real estate, managing hundreds of properties across multiple states. The Compliance Specialist will be a key member of the Willets Point New Development team, ensuring that all project operations meet applicable compliance requirements and maintaining rigorous compliance standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with affordable housing program requirements, including but not limited to HPD, HDC, LIHTC, and other funding sources
Monitor adherence to all contractual, regulatory, and programmatic obligations for the Willets Point development
Maintain current knowledge of changes in housing and development regulations
Prepare, collect, review and submit, certifications, and supporting documentation for various oversight agencies
Maintain detailed and organized records of all compliance activities, approvals, and correspondence
Work with the Compliance Managers to ensure proper screening, income verification, and certification of residents in accordance with program guidelines
Perform all file qualification functions of a lease-up
Partner with Compliance team peers, Compliance Admins and others as required to meet lease-up goals and targets
Primary contact with applicants. Will perform tasks within Housing Connect 2.0, Affordable Rent Café and Yardi
Qualification
Required
Availability to work in-office (5 days a week)
Minimum 3–5 years in compliance, affordable housing, or property management within a real estate development or management environment
Strong working knowledge of affordable housing programs (LIHTC, HUD, HPD, HDC, etc.) and associated compliance requirements
Experience preparing compliance reports, audits, and regulatory filings
Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, Real Estate, Business, or a related field preferred
Experience with compliance tracking systems preferred
