Senior Engineer, Aftermarket Electro-Mechanical Engineer (Hybrid)

Responsibilities

Gather field data (reliability, field/operational issues) and present findings to internal/external customers
Drive and coordinate hardware investigations
Engage with Project Engineering, Aftermarket Program Management, suppliers, maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) organizations, engine/airframe manufacturers and aircraft operators to address product/system related technical issues
Work with Technical publications for initiation, planning, and coordination of Service Bulletins (SB), Service Information Letters (SIL), and Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM)
Work with the Collins Customer Response Center (CRC) to address in-service technical and aircraft-on-ground (AOG) issues in an appropriately responsive manner for assigned systems and products
Assist with root cause analysis, corrective action plans, and implementation to address chronic or significant field/operational issue with Collins parts/systems
Act as the "voice of the customer" for promoting positive change to our products and processes
Develop familiarization training for our products

Required

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience

Preferred

Mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electrical component experience
Experience communicating at all levels of an organization (executive to technician)
BSME
Aftermarket or product/aircraft/engine troubleshooting experience/ability
