Corient is a fast-growing wealth management firm that helps high- and ultra-high-net-worth individuals preserve their wealth. They are seeking a smart, hardworking attorney to provide end-to-end legal support to their Real Estate function, managing office leases and various legal matters.

Responsibilities
Support all legal aspects of the office lease lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating letters of intent, leases, sub-leases, estoppels, SNDAs and other related documents and agreements, as well as service and supplier contracts with a wide range of real estate, architecture, and facilities vendors
Draft, review, and negotiate assignments, terminations, and consolidations of leases and vendor agreements and support corporate governance matters, including in the context of M&A transactions and integrations
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of vendor contracts, including non-disclosure agreements, software, SaaS and other technology-related agreements
Manage third-party litigation, including document production in response to third-party subpoenas, with the support of outside counsel
Facilitate efficient coordination of workstreams between internal legal resources, internal functions, and outside counsel
Perform other work and projects, as assigned
Qualification
Required
J.D. from an accredited law school and a member in good standing of a U.S. state bar
3-5 years of experience in a top-tier real estate leasing practice
Substantial experience with all aspects of the real estate leasing lifecycle, including commercial leases and AIA agreements, lease negotiation, green leasing terms, and real estate deal structure
Experience with vendor and supplier contracts
Experience with corporate governance and general corporate work
Exceptional judgment, balancing risk with business priorities
Hardworking, motivated, proactive and results oriented
Comfortable fielding questions from the most senior to the most junior teammates
Exceedingly organized and meticulous
Unquestioned integrity
Desire to be part of a fast-growing firm
Team oriented with the ability to build relationships and earn the respect of others
Excellent communication (verbal and written), organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple groups and functions
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must be willing to submit to a background investigation; any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation
Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
Must be willing to execute Corient's Employee Agreement or Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement, which require, among other things, post-employment obligations relating to non-solicitation, confidentiality, and non-disclosure
Preferred
Material lessee experience is a significant plus
In-house legal experience is a plus
Litigation experience a plus
