They are seeking a Geotechnical Staff Engineer to provide professional geotechnical engineering services on various public and private sector projects, including buildings, bridges, and roadways, during both design and construction phases.
Consulting
Responsibilities
Work with other members of the geotechnical services department including geologists, technicians, drill crews and sub-consultants to deliver exceptional results
Prepare geotechnical project work scopes, budgets, and proposals
Plan and coordinate field exploration programs including site reconnaissance
Perform soil and rock classification
Plan and coordinate geotechnical laboratory testing programs
Perform geotechnical engineering analysis, calculations, and computer modeling
Develop geotechnical engineering design parameters and recommendations
Prepare geotechnical engineering reports and deliverables
Manage geotechnical engineering projects, including project schedules, budgets, and invoicing
Communicate with existing and potential clients
Conducts field logging and supports drilling program for a variety of projects
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical, or related field
Valid Driver's license with insurable driving record
Able to travel locally to/from project sites
Able to work extended hours when workload dictates
Able to effectively communicate with internal and external clients through in-person, written, verbal, and electronic methods
Must be willing to participate in and pass F&R's pre-employment screening including a background investigation, drug screening and driving record
Preferred
EIT license preferred
Typically 0-4 years of experience preferred
Proficient with writing and reviewing technical reports
