Electrical Panel Quality Control Technician

Responsibilities

Exceptional knowledge and understanding of all applicable electrical codes / standards including but not limited to UL508A, NEC, NFPA79, SCCR rating
Exceptional knowledge and understanding of wiring and operation of electrical components including but not limited to PLCs, VFDs, transformers, power supplies, safety relays, control relays, pilot devices, pushbutton/selector switches, circuit breakers, fuses, phase monitors, contactors, overload relays
Familiarity with a variety of manufacturers electrical components
Exceptional knowledge and understanding of electrical circuitry including but not limited to power distribution, motor controls, AC/DC high voltage, AC/DC low voltage, relay logic, emergency stop
Proficient at interpreting electrical schematics / layout drawings
Strong troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems
Proficient at identifying electrical and mechanical design defects or poor workmanship
Maintain quality documentation files of completed procedures
Strictly adhere to quality control procedures and processes
Develop quality control standardized work procedures and processes for electrical panels
Teach and train existing panel technicians how to qualify their own electrical panel work safely
Communicate panel non-conformances with appropriate Panel Team Lead/Panel Technician
Ability to lift 30 lbs. frequently and 70 lbs. occasionally
Must be able to stand for long periods of time, bending, twisting, kneeling, climbing ladders
Must be able to perform all required tasks in a safe manner with solid electrical safety knowledge and experience
Must be able to perform all required tasks with minimal instruction and little supervision

Required

Two-year EE technical degree required, or equivalent work experience required
7+ years of custom panel building experience
Experience with: Multimeter – resistance, current and voltage testing; Hand tools; MS Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Must be able to lift to 50 lbs
Must pass pre-employment and random drug screen
