Interior Design Engineer
ADAPT Technology LLC is a US-based engineering and staffing company specializing in a comprehensive array of services. They are seeking an experienced Interior Design Engineer to lead the design and development of interior systems, managing projects from concept to production while ensuring innovation and quality throughout the process.

Responsibilities
Lead Design & Development: Oversee the complete lifecycle of interior component development—from initial concept to production—using proven automotive development methodologies
Hands-On CAD Design: Create detailed 3D models and drawings using CATIA V5 , both independently and by guiding supplier engineers or CAD modelers
Packaging & Layout Studies: Conduct design studies to optimize fit, form, and function within the vehicle architecture
Project Management: Balance multiple priorities to achieve targets related to schedule, performance, cost, and quality while ensuring design integrity
Problem Solving & Process Improvement: Identify and visualize design issues, gaps, and risks, driving continuous improvement and reflection throughout the project lifecycle
Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers, cross-functional teams, and global affiliates to ensure seamless communication and project alignment
Travel: Travel to suppliers and manufacturing sites in North America and abroad as needed to support development and production readiness
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering design for interior components
Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience with CATIA V5
Proven project management experience in an engineering environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines
Willingness to work up to 20% overtime as needed
