Mid LevelPhoenix Charter Academy Network is seeking a dedicated and passionate Intervention Teacher to provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities. The role involves implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), collaborating with educators, and ensuring students' academic and emotional needs are met.
Education Management
Responsibilities
Assess students' skills and needs through formal and informal assessments
Specifically in Humanities, Math, and Biology
Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet the unique needs of students
Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure inclusive instructional practices in the classroom
Provide direct instruction and academic support to students, both individually and in small groups
Monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary
Communicate regularly with parents and other stakeholders to discuss student performance and progress
Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and other professionals to coordinate services for students with special needs
Stay current with best practices and research in special education
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of content in Humanities, Math, and Biology
High school teaching experience required
Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field (Master's preferred)
Valid teaching license or certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain)
Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and evidence-based intervention strategies
Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret student data to inform instruction
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
