Highway Project Engineer
Fisher Associates is a multidisciplinary design services firm headquartered in Rochester, NY, dedicated to improving the quality of life through infrastructure. The Highway Project Engineer will lead the design and construction of transportation infrastructure, ensuring compliance with safety standards and managing projects from inception to completion.

Responsibilities
Effectively complete work assignments related to highway design, drainage design, alignments, and other duties applicable to these projects
Develop preliminary and detailed final design plans and cost analysis for new highway projects or improvements to existing infrastructure that meet client’s goals
Ensure designs adhere to safety standards, local regulations, and best practices
Maintain accurate records of project details, including design documents, progress reports, and budget information
Collaborate and communicate effectively with clients, subconsultants and regulatory approving agencies
Coordinate with reviewers and other disciplines to ensure accuracy and quality of work
Attend routine project design meetings and coordinate regularly with the technical staff, to complete the project within the assigned project budget and on schedule
Provide mentoring, direction and oversight to internal design staff
Assist Project Manager with project presentations, proposed project schedules and development tasks assigned by the Project Manager
Qualification
Required
B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
10-15 years minimum of transportation experience, highway engineering experience preferred
Professional Engineering License required
Experience with MicroStation and OpenRoads
