Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority to lead architecture and engineering of Cloud foundation and related constructs across the GEN2 compute of GM Defense

Research and evaluate various platform engineering options to determine the most suitable technology solutions

Leverage strong analytical skills, relationships, and knowledge across technology and vendors to recommend solutions for platform automation

Align to overall software organization platform engineering strategy yet specialize based on GM Defense portfolio specific needs

Self-motivated with a strategic mindset, capable of independent action, holds themselves and others accountable for demonstrating GMs values and modeling GM behaviors

Define and manage reusable scripts and other constructs utilizing enterprise approved code management and pipeline solutions

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering/mathematics or a related field, or equivalent experience

7+ years of relevant experience in large organizations, platform engineering, code management, pipeline management, preferably in the automotive, manufacturing, and technology sectors

7+ years of DevOps or related functions with proficiency and prior experience in Terraform, IaC, Engineering policy as script

Preferred

Master's degree in computer science/engineering/mathematics or a related field, or equivalent experience

10+ years of relevant experience in large organizations, platform engineering, code management, pipeline management, preferably in the automotive, manufacturing, and technology sectors

Experience working with Gov Cloud
