Senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager - Conveyance

Responsibilities
Candidate will manage, plan and lead engineering design projects for sanitary sewer collection systems (including large diameter pipe,) pumping stations, lift stations, force mains, interceptors, water distribution systems, green infrastructure, reservoirs, as well as water/wastewater treatment plants
Manages portfolio of clients with multiple projects
May supervise mid to junior level engineers (all disciplines applicable), as well as project administration, project controls, scheduling, cost control, estimating and procurement representatives
Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope
Ensures that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
Develops a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
Manages changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
Measures project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
Manages the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
Performs risk management to minimize project risks
Consistently delivers profit margins planned
Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise
Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others
Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables
Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects
Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings
Prepares technical specification sections
Qualification
Required
BS Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related degree and 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educated
Proven experience with managing engineering design projects for sanitary sewer collection systems (including large diameter pipe,) pumping stations, lift stations, force mains, interceptors, water distribution systems
Professional Engineers License
Solid knowledge of MS Office Suite, Sharepoint, Unifier, e-Builder, CM14, and P6 Scheduling Software
Demonstrated experience in business development
Preferred
Professional Engineering License in the state of Virginia
12+ years of related experience
Experience with the Hampton Roads Area Municipal Water/Wastewater clients
Working knowledge of Federal, State, and local jurisdiction permitting regulations for water/wastewater
Proven track record of delivering technically complex construction projects from inception to completion
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
