Turtle Island Restoration Network (TIRN) is seeking a Test Proctor II to monitor testing sessions and ensure compliance with testing policies. The role involves maintaining a professional testing environment, supervising examinees, and handling operational procedures.

Responsibilities

Act as the surveillance monitor for all testing sessions
Observe examinees through the viewing windows and camera system to ensure compliance with testing policies
Alert PT Test Proctor 2, Testing Specialist, or Assessment Coordinator immediately of any irregularities, suspicious behavior, or rule violations
Assist with maintaining a professional and distraction-free testing environment
Ability to lift up to 201bs and move between viewing areas and communication points
Perform daily site opening and closing procedures
Check in examinees and verify identification according to test provider specifications
Administer and supervise computer-based testing in accordance with faculty and test sponsor instructions
Directly monitor examinees inside the testing room
Record & report exam discrepancies to Testing Specialist and/or Assessment Coordinator in a timely and efficient manner
Communicate with IT Help Desk to resolve issues
Earn & maintain required exam sponsor certification(s)
Maintain professional standards in the lab, including light cleaning and organization
Assist with maintaining a professional and distraction-free testing environment
Take ownership of operational procedures and recommend process improvements
Ability to lift up to 201bs and move between viewing areas and communication points
Other duties as assigned

Required

Must not be a Galveston College student
Associates or documented equivalent work experience
Demonstration of high-quality customer service
Desire and ability to positively interact with others
High level of technology proficiency
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Collaborative and problem-solving skills
Ability to learn on the job and participate actively and work independently in a quiet environment
Ability to learn detailed procedures, work in a busy environment, and achieve positive outcomes

Preferred

Experience in an academia or equivalent preferred
