Responsibilities

Develop, implement and manage the overall purchasing strategy for the company
Lead the purchasing function in all areas of business operations
Work closely with department heads and upper-level management to meet company objectives and goals
Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions
Coordinate with inventory control and sales to determine and manage inventory requirements
Build and maintain professional relationships with suppliers and vendors while aggressively seeking out new sourcing opportunities
Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and standards

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum of 10 years' experience in a senior purchasing management role

Excellent negotiation skills and strategic thinking abilities
Experience with purchasing software and relevant IT systems
Proven knowledge of supply chain and inventory management techniques

Preferred

A Master's degree is a plus
Possession of a Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) certification is highly desirable
