Responsibilities

Leads the development and administration of a comprehensive process safety and risk management program
Performs technical reviews of utilities operations
Ensures that process safety related standard maintenance procedures (SMPs), standard operating procedures (SOPs), engineering standards and guidelines are developed, reviewed and updated as needed
Ensures adequate hazard identification and risk assessment procedures are in place and solutions at the system level
Work with vendors to resolve utilities issues
Take part in brewery and corporate optimization trials, providing advice, assistance and guidance where required
Analyzes utilities performance data to identify opportunities for performance improvement and initiating opportunity evaluation
Analyzes failure modes and investigates causes for repeat failures to identify and correct root causes
Ensures that all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and housekeeping tasks are carried out, and 5S principles are applied
Assists in educating employees and ensuring compliance with process safety management

Required

Five plus years in an engineering or maintenance position in a manufacturing environment
Possess a proven track record of achievement in a high-speed, high-volume manufacturing environment
Knowledge of asset care and maintenance
Demonstrable evidence of driving World Class Supply Initiatives to deliver on challenging objectives
Experience managing budgets and planning

Preferred

Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience preferred
