Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable microservices using Scala and Scalatra
Develop REST APIs supporting high-volume client applications (hundreds of millions of daily calls)
Implement asynchronous, functional code using Scala Futures
Work with technologies including Scala, Scalatra, Memcached, Kafka, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes, Splunk, and Datadog
Enhance existing microservices and architect new ones as required
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment
Take ownership of tasks and make key technical decisions in a fast-paced setting
Qualification
Required
Strong proficiency in Scala with hands-on experience in functional programming
Experience developing and maintaining microservices at scale
Proficiency with asynchronous programming patterns (Scala Futures preferred)
Familiarity with APIs, containerization, and message queues (Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka)
Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
