Responsibilities

Research, conceptualize, and develop AI solutions for hard industrial problems
Design, develop, train, fine-tune, and/or distill state-of-the-art foundation models
Collaborate with team of researchers on new and continuing projects
Demonstrate value of AI through prototypes and solutions for real-world problems
Develop and employ software libraries, tools, and practices to implement efficient, scalable, and reusable solutions
Create intellectual property by writing invention disclosures and filing patents
Publish research work to scientific conferences and journals
Writing and/or supporting grant proposals

Required

PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields with a focus on Artificial Intelligence
Demonstrated ability to write Python code and familiarity with AI packages and frameworks like PyTorch, HuggingFace, etc
Deep expertise in one or more of: Multi-Modal Foundation Models, Time-Series Foundation Models, and Scientific Machine Learning with Physics
Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals at the Master's level for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening

Preferred

Ph.D. focusing on new advancements in Artificial Intelligence
Experience in Foundation Models with one or more modalities: image, time-series, tabular data, video, and/or text
Experience in writing grant proposals and participating in the execution of grant-supported research with government agencies such as DoE, ARPA-E, DoD, and DARPA
