Responsibilities
Participate in client meetings to gather information, present planning updates, and support the lead advisor
Build trusting, long-term relationships through proactive communication
Gain a deep understanding of each client’s goals, needs, and financial situation
Assist clients with plan implementation, account changes, and follow-up items
Analyze client financial data, including balance sheets, cash flow, income, and expenses
Identify planning opportunities across tax, investments, estate planning, retirement, and risk management
Prepare and update financial plans tailored to clients’ goals and evolving life circumstances
Conduct research to support recommendations for investment, tax, and financial strategies
Support the lead advisor in preparing meeting materials, reports, and follow-up actions
Maintain accurate records in CRM and planning software
Assist with investment portfolio updates and operational needs
Help with onboarding new clients and ensuring a smooth transition into the advisory process
Qualification
Required
CFP® preferred (or progress towards a near completion)
4–8 years of experience in financial planning or advisor support
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to explain complex concepts in a way clients can easily understand
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
High ethical standards and a client-first mindset
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Preferred
Additional certification or designations are a plus
Experience with LPL, Black Diamond, or Salesforce is beneficial
