They are currently seeking a CAD Technician I to support their Natural Gas Distribution group in Hammond, IN, focusing on drafting and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) to produce accurate technical drawings and maintain project documentation.

Responsibilities
Prepare technical drawings, including piping layouts, general arrangements, and diagrams, under the supervision of senior staff
Update and modify existing drawings to reflect project changes
Ensure all drawings comply with company and client standards
Maintain organized project files and documentation
Accurately transcribe field data and notes into CAD systems
Assist in preparing deliverables for project submittals
Work closely with designers and engineers to meet drafting and project requirements
Communicate effectively with team members to clarify drafting needs and resolve issues
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED required; enrollment in or completion of a technical trade program is a plus
Basic knowledge of CAD software, such as AutoCAD or Civil 3D
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
This position requires the ability to pass a post-offer drug (including marijuana) and alcohol test in compliance with Federal regulations and is also subject to random testing as a condition of continued employment
Preferred
Familiarity with drafting practices in industrial or utility projects
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
