They are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power BI Developer to lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise-grade business intelligence solutions, partnering with stakeholders and mentoring junior developers.

Responsibilities

Design and implement advanced Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to business needs
Build and optimize semantic data models using DAX and Power Query (M)
Integrate data from diverse sources including Microsoft Fabric components (Warehouse, Lakehouse, Dataflow Gen2)
Manage Power BI workspaces, access control, and versioning
Analyze complex datasets using SQL, KQL, or PySpark
Create interactive, user-friendly visualizations that support strategic decision-making
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance across reporting assets
Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Collaborate with Data Engineering and AI teams to deliver cohesive analytics platforms
Mentor junior developers and promote best practices in BI development
Implement and maintain Power BI governance, including security, version control, and documentation
Stay current with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric advancements, recommending improvements and innovations

Qualification

Required

8+ years of experience in enterprise BI development, with a strong focus on Power BI
Expert-level proficiency in DAX, Power Query M, and SQL
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Dataflow Gen2, Warehouse, Lakehouse)
Skilled in Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Power Platform (Power Automate)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred

Microsoft certifications such as PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst) or DP-500 (Azure Enterprise Data Analyst)
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
Familiarity with other BI/reporting tools
Experience delivering internal training or workshops
Residing in the State of California or in a PST/MST time zone
