Senior Paid Search Specialist
Carnegie is a leader and innovator in higher education marketing and enrollment strategy, seeking a Senior Paid Search Specialist to oversee Google Ads Paid Search campaigns for their clients. The role involves campaign management, performance evaluation, and collaboration with internal teams to develop effective strategies that meet client goals.

Responsibilities
Oversee the strategy and execution of client Paid Search campaigns, including keyword development, ad group and campaign setup, bid strategy management, and overall goal achievement
Execute optimizations around keyword performance, campaign structure, targeting, and other facets of Paid Search
Maintain and monitor campaign performance, analyzing conversion rate, cost per conversion, cost-per-click, impression share, quality score, and other important campaign metrics to inform client-facing reporting
Work with Digital Strategists to dictate the Paid Search strategy for proposal requests, RFPs, and strategy pivots in order to achieve client goals
Formulate insights around campaign performance, keyword structure, targeting, and other facets of Paid Search
Elevate data-driven decision-making by interpreting complex performance metrics, translating them into clear strategic recommendations, and articulating how paid search ladders up to client business objectives
Evaluate performance and craft meaningful recommendations for client review based on data trends that will have a positive impact on performance
Work collaboratively in a team environment
Collaborate strategically with other internal specialists including the Digital Strategy team and other key digital team members to develop fully integrated campaigns to meet client goals
Show thought leadership by keeping pace with Paid Search industry trends as well as bringing forward ideas around process improvements, best practices, and tests
Qualification
Required
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to effectively multitask in a deadline-driven atmosphere
Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills through independent troubleshooting of issues before escalating to other team members
Quick learner and ability to adapt to new and changing technologies
Clear written communication skills, both internally and externally
Passion, energy, and enthusiasm for digital marketing and client success
Effective communication and time management skills in a remote environment
Ability to use/learn multiple technology platforms and switch between them on a regular basis
Bachelor's degree required
3 or more years of experience working in Paid Search in the Google Ads platform
Data analysis experience, particularly experience in analyzing digital campaign metrics to measure success
Preferred
Marketing/Advertising major or concentration
Experience with employee management
Experience with Asana or other project management tools and Google-based products (Docs, Sheets, and Slides)
Currently certified in Google Ads Paid Search
