Software Engineer

They are seeking a junior Software Engineer to join their Core Engineering team, where the engineer will work on building and optimizing data and post-trade infrastructures to support trading operations.

Responsibilities
Engineer Resilient Tools: You will help ensure our operations remain safe and compliant by building robust tools for firm-wide risk viewing and reporting
Build Scalable Data Infrastructure: Develop and maintain the engines that ingest and transform data. You will help build out our global security master and ensure downstream systems have frictionless access to a high-quality data warehouse
Master Data & Reliability: You will tackle complex technical challenges—ranging from automating the flow of raw market data to ensuring the real-time reliability of our risk and position monitoring systems
Automate & Orchestrate: Utilize Airflow and Ansible to automate complex data flows and deployment processes, ensuring data enters our firm and reaches researchers without friction
Obsess Over the User Experience: You will build tools that are intuitive and powerful for traders and quants
Uphold Engineering Standards: Champion best practices, including automated testing, CI/CD, and proactive system monitoring to ensure our Linux/Kubernetes environments remain self-healing and robust
Qualification
Required
0–3 years of professional software engineering experience
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Strong command of Python for backend development. You can write clean, efficient, and Pythonic code
Excellent grasp of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles. You know how to choose the right tool for the job and understand the trade-offs
Technical Curiosity: You have a relentless drive to understand how things work under the hood. You aren't satisfied with 'it works'—you want to know why
Attention to Detail: In trading, accuracy is paramount. You take pride in writing reliable code and handling edge cases gracefully
Collaborative Orientation: You are energized by working closely within a team, communicating clearly, and focusing on collective success
Driven by Impact: You take deep satisfaction in seeing your work have a direct, measurable effect on our operations
Preferred
Familiarity with C++ is a strong plus. Our high-performance trading engines run on C++, and the ability to read or interface with that codebase is valuable
