Responsibilities

Lead the private label development process from product request through bottling and shipment
Evaluate feasibility of new private label opportunities, including wine availability, production capacity, packaging requirements, regulatory timing, and cost targets
Determine whether the organization can bottle it, cost it, and label/package it within customer timelines and margin objectives
Develop sourcing plans across bulk wine, grapes, custom crush, and imports based on volume, quality, and price targets
Build and maintain COGS models; ensure commercial pricing aligns to margin expectations
Negotiate supply, production, and packaging contracts where appropriate to optimize cost and continuity
Align private label production with facility capacity, bottling schedules, and inventory plans
Manage inventory and production planning to avoid excess product and waste
Lead cross-functional coordination among Winemaking, Supply Chain, Operations, Compliance, Finance and Commercial teams
Establish and maintain standard operating procedures, lead times, approval checkpoints, and governance for private label execution
Serve as the internal authority to approve or decline private label program commitments based on feasibility and financials

Required

Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Winemaking, Operations or related field required
10+ years of wine industry experience with expertise in bulk wine sourcing, importing, and/or commercial sales
Proven relationships with domestic and international suppliers and buyers
Experience with bulk wine logistics and compliance
Strong commercial acumen and a demonstrated ability to deliver against COGS
Excellent communication, negotiation skills and ability to influence at all levels of the organization
