Responsibilities

Designs models of parts and assemblies using the provided version of CREO 3D CAD software
Creating drawings accurately and in a timely fashion
Follows USC factory and GE Vernova specifications as well as applicable national and international standards
Preparation and entering of Bills of Materials (BOM) into SAP system
Becomes conversant with PDMLink and EDMATS data management systems
Utilizes web based applications for creation of new material requisitions (MMRD) and / or engineering change notices (EDN) independently
Carries out design tasks assigned from Engineering Action Requests (EAR) with little or no assistance
Advises and mentors others on modeling and drafting techniques and best practices
Additional duties may be assigned by the manager

Qualification

CREO 3D CADSAPPDMLinkEDMATSMentoring

Required

Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
Minimum of 4 years of related experience and/or training

Preferred

Specialized training and experience in CREO or equivalent 3D CAD software
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write reports and correspondence
Ability to communicate design and engineering concepts
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Ability to convert metric into imperial units and vice versa
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.,) in its most difficult phases
Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables
