Responsibilities

Partner with various members of the Project Management Directorate to learn about being a Project Manager (PM), accompany team members to meetings and assist colleagues with their daily duties

Review articles and publications and conduct research related to actual project issues and business pursuits and brief the staff

Review project files, reports and processes to identify missing information, redundant information and opportunities to better organize and execute the tasks needed to get to done; collaborate with colleagues to collect their updates and feedback; prepare a summary of findings and recommendations

Reach out to colleagues to obtain current status on proposals, contracts, and other agreements

Identify, document and analyze objective data and metrics important to a PM’s duties and responsibilities

Generate ideas for updating the department’s SharePoint site and coordinate with colleagues to research technology, software and tools for optimizing project management

Act as brand ambassador for the organization both internally and externally

Required

Current enrollment in accredited college or university pursuing a degree. Applicants should be completing their sophomore or junior year

Enthusiasm for learning, a collaborative spirit, strong-interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly establish rapport with colleagues

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely; organizational skills; ability to digest, analyze and summarize new information and confidence to ask for help when needed

U.S. Citizenship

Ability to work full-time for 10-12 weeks during the summer

Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
