Responsibilities
Using your background in manufacturing engineering, determine machinery and/or power requirements that will meet production volumes
Design new products, or revisions to existing products
Develop bills of material & recommendations for spares for all projects
Track/forecast costs to maintain good budget control
Provide training to end users on changes to existing equipment and new installations
Work with technicians and contractors on equipment installations. This job may require overnight travel of 2-3 nights around once a month
Qualification
Required
BS degree required in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Industrial Engineering (BSIE), or similar
At least five years' experience with a manufacturing company that uses complex production machinery
Well-versed in equipment specification and design, rebuilds, installation, and modification for reliability improvement
Ability to read and develop drawings in AutoCAD, Inventor, or SolidWorks
Safety knowledge should include OSHA and other safety codes, powered industrial vehicles, heavy machinery
Two to five years' experience in equipment maintenance and manufacturing engineering in a manufacturing environment
Ability to motivate and train employees, making sure that safety always comes first
