Patient Placement Coordinator - Capacity Management - F/T with Benefits Day

Responsibilities
Collaborates with Capacity Manager(s), nursing supervisors/Directors, infection control staff, ED leadership, EVS & Transport leadership to ensure efficient execution of patient placement decisions to ensure patient safety
Maintains ongoing communication with Capacity Managers & aforementioned staff to maintain continual patient flow and ensure essential personnel are informed
Utilizes appropriate tools and technology to monitor and promote continuous patient movement
Ensures accurate admission, discharge, and transfer data and all patient flow measures and statistics as defined by Capacity Management team
Demonstrates expertise in working with required computer applications, phone systems and patient tracking tools
Interacts with all required stakeholders (nursing, physicians, EVS, transport, leaders and team members, etc) utilizing appropriate communication skills and tools. Performs daily work tasks maintaining extraordinary Customer Service at all times
Other duties and/or projects as assigned

Qualification
Required
High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs required
Knowledge and experience with computers, OS usage, Outlook, Word, Excel and basic keyboarding skills required
Minimum of 2 years in a medical/acute hospital setting required
