Quality Inspector - 3D

They are seeking a talented Quality Inspector - 3D to review composite molded components and perform inspections utilizing CATIA files and Verisurf software. The role involves analyzing inspection data, participating in audits, and maintaining quality documentation.

Responsibilities
Primarily reviews composite molded components/assemblies, but may also review sheet metal details and machined metal components
Interprets design/process drawings, procedures, and specifications
Creates routines for and performs inspection operations for Model Based Definition inspection utilizing CATIA files and Verisurf software for laser tracker instruments
Analyze data from inspection operations to provide result reports and non-conformance reports as required
Participate in company internal audits and support customer audits as required to support the quality management system goals
Coordinate corrective action with operations, purchasing, production control, and liaison engineering
Maintain quality departmental documentation, in written and computer formats, supporting inspection, certification reviews, and non-conforming reports as required
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.)
Experience using CMM/PCMM equipment – strong preference in Verisurf and CATIA software including basic CAD skills related to import/export of file formats supporting theses devices; other formats may be considered based on industry experience and product type: [surface plate / 2D height gage layout, calipers, micrometers, functional gages, etc.] visual inspection techniques, basic shop math geometry, and GD&T
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, military, and industrial specifications/standards
Proficiency in verbal and written technical communication, and able to work from written or verbal instructions
Basic math and computer skills with proficiency in MS Office Software
Must be a US Person
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and wear proper PPE
Pass annual visual acuity exams
Physical dexterity sufficient to use hand inspection tools and equipment
Able to lift 35lbs. safely without special accommodations and stoop, crawl, bend, crouch, climb, and kneel
Capable of lifting/maneuvering/assembling/using 3D measuring equipment
Work onsite in Columbus, MS
Availability to work any shift, including off-shifts, overtime, and weekends
Preferred
Associate degree in a technical discipline
Experience in aerospace production facility
Experience in carbon composite aerospace manufacturing processes
Experience in Laser Tracker Systems and optical scans desired, Leica preferred
