Responsibilities

Lead cloud migrations

Drive application containerization by leveraging Kubernetes to improve scalability and maintainability

Disaster recovery planning and implementation

Establish and promote Kubernetes best practices across the organization

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions

Apply AWS best practices to ensure secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud architecture

Participate in security audits and lead remediation efforts to maintain compliance and harden infrastructure

Transition to immutable infrastructure to increase reliability and simplify deployment

Expand usage of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform

Manage engineering backlogs and sprints, ensuring effective sprint planning and execution

Mentor team members and lead upskilling initiatives to foster professional growth and knowledge sharing

Required

7+ years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management position

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS (EKS, EC2, IAM, RDS, etc.)

Proven experience with GitOps tools—preferably ArgoCD—and a strong understanding of GitOps principles

Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration with Kubernetes

Experience designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines

Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)

Deep understanding of cloud security principles and experience with auditing and remediation

Familiarity with immutable infrastructure patterns

Track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams and mentoring engineers

Experience with Agile methodologies, sprint planning, and backlog grooming

Preferred

Experience merging or integrating teams and building a unified team culture is a plus

Exposure to monitoring and observability tools (New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.) is a plus

Knowledge of FinOps techniques for cloud infrastructure is a plus

Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or similar is a plus
