Biomedical Equipment Technician II - FT - Days - MHW

Responsibilities

Thoroughly documents preventive maintenance and equipment repairs into the CMMS system in a timely and consistent manner
Analyzes data and processes for opportunities for improvement
Works in cross departmental teams to identify opportunities for improvement in practice and policy
Writes, reviews, and executes testing procedures on medical devices, ensuring compliance to codes and following manufacturer’s instructions
Performs troubleshooting and repair, calling for special service when needed
Repairs and maintains high-level/complex medical devices by adjusting, calibrating, testing and documenting equipment performance
Trains and mentors Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) I and II staff
Serve as project manager for moderate to high complexity projects
Maintains appropriate equipment inventories and equipment sterilization
Works in collaboration with IT and the equipment manufacturers to ensure appropriate cyber security of medical devices
Acts as lead resource on one or more product lines / devices

Required

Associates: Science (Required)
Three (3) years of experience in the repair and maintenance of various types of medical equipment

Preferred

Biomedical Industry Technical Certification is preferred
High school diploma plus nine (9) years of experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment
Military/Department of Defense Training in Electronics
Bachelor's degree or higher and five (5) years of experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment
Applied Science Degree in Electronic Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
