Responsibilities
You will support an HR Specialist in the execution of Human Resources (HR) work for the Installation and assigned customers
You will explain to management the sequence of actions required in connection with recurring disciplinary problems
You will assist with providing guidance and support to the workforce with the DoD Performance Management Appraisal Program (DPMAP)
You will provide assistance to employees, supervisors and Team Members in filing claims under the FECA program
You will gather, reviews, consolidates and prepares required paperwork assuring that all necessary steps have been followed and all supporting documents are present
You will provide assistance to employees, supervisors and Team Members in filing claims under the Federal Employees' Compensation Act (FECA) program
Qualification
Required
Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program
New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check
Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level
Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326
Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: advising management on the sequence of actions required in connection with recurring disciplinary problems; Reviewing submitted Performance Appraisals for compliance; Assisting employees and supervisors with FECA claims and processing
