Responsibilities
Transportation impact assessments
Access, circulation, and parking studies
Arterial and freeway traffic operations studies
Safety engineering studies and conceptual design
Development of project and task scopes, budgets, and schedules
Travel demand modeling and forecasting
Traffic operations analysis
Safety data analysis
Field reviews
Development of technical documentation, including graphics, in memorandums, reports, and presentations
Qualification
Required
6+ years of traffic engineering or traffic planning transportation work experience
American Institute of Certified Planners certification or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in Florida, or ability to obtain within 6 months
Progressive experience as a task manager/deputy project manager
Proven expertise with national and FDOT manuals and guides, including the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), Project Traffic Forecasting Handbook, Traffic Analysis Handbook, Multimodal Transportation Site Impact Handbook, Multimodal Access Management Guidebook, and Traffic Engineering Manual
Proficiency with Synchro and VISSIM, and TransModeler
Experience with Comprehensive Plan Amendments (CPAs) and concurrency studies
Preferred
PTOE and/or RSP certifications is a plus
