Spencer Savings Bank is providing an internship program for high school students to gain hands-on exposure to community banking and customer service. Interns will support the Edison Board of Education’s initiative while developing professional skills and understanding retail banking operations.

Responsibilities

Serve as a meet and greet host for customers, learning how to create a welcoming environment and deliver legendary service

Shadow branch management to observe and understand day-to-day branch operations and leadership practices

Participate in team huddles to learn how to lead, motivate, and collaborate with a retail banking team

Assist with light administrative tasks such as filing and organizing

Join virtual meetings with department heads (e.g. Lending, Operations, Marketing, Treasury, Compliance) to gain exposure to multiple areas of the bank

Participate in community engagement activities, representing the bank

Travel to other branches or events may occasionally be required
