Project Manager - Commercial Team - Augusta
McMillan Pazdan Smith is an award-winning architecture, interior design, and advisory services firm with a commitment to strong client relationships. They are currently seeking a Project Manager to join their Commercial team, responsible for managing all aspects of multiple projects, ensuring compliance with standards, and fostering client relationships.

Responsibilities
Take responsibility for finished plans, specifications, and approval of materials and construction and for managing all aspects of multiple small to large complex projects
Apply sound knowledge of architectural principles and practices in a broad array of assignments and related fields
Lead a collaborative and inclusive design process
Assist with budget management
Prepare design presentation materials
Partner with client and/or user group to develop design
Conduct code research and analysis and review with various agencies for approval
Collaborate with engineers, consultants, contractors and/or clients
Supervise and provide guidance regarding overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts
Ensure that the project meets environmental, safety, structural, zoning, and aesthetic standards
Build, manage and nurture client relationships
Review shop drawings, submittals, and respond to RFIs
Be a thought leader, research and investigate concepts throughout design process
Actively manage client budgets, schedules, and programs, project communications and documentation, office administrative tasks, and project team assignments
Estimate fees, determine scope of work, and prepare proposals
Serve as primary client liaison to bring the schedule, budgets, and scope of work to completion and to the client’s satisfaction
Exercise professional judgement in areas of contractual liability
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Professional degree in Architecture from an NAAB-accredited program
Ability to provide business development for firm within practice expertise area
6-8 years combined experience as a design professional and/or architect
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and Revit
Firm grasp of building technology fundamentals
Thorough knowledge of relevant codes, operations, processes, and trends
Excellent time management, organizational and written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Master's Degree of Architecture
Registered as a licensed architect
Experience with Newforma Project Center and/or Newforma Project Analyzer
Experience with Microsoft Project, Bluebeam PDF Revu
Additional relevant certifications indicating additional expertise such as for construction administration, interior design, LEED/Green Globes/sustainability, etc
Experience writing and editing specifications
